1839: Philadelphia's Saturday Courier newspaper
reports that a hairy "wild child" has been seen near and swimming in
Indiana's Fish Lake, in LaPorte County. The article does not differentiate
between Upper and Lower Fish Lake, both feeders of the Kankakee River.
