On This Day in Weird, November 29...
1893: The New York Herald reports that multiple
witnesses, including locals George Farrell and "Red" McDowell, have
seen a large, hairy "wild man" roaming near Long Island's Rockaway
Beach. The man—or thing—is never captured.
