1978: Deanne Kearns of Ord, Nebraska, reports a 2 a.m. UFO
sighting. She claims two humanoid beings five to six feet tall descended
"in a light beam" from a hovering craft shaped like two plates with
one inverted atop the other. She allegedly watched the beings collect soil and
plant samples.
