2013: Internet blogger Robert Lindsay reports "a rumor
flying around the UK" that DNA tests performed on suspect hair samples by
Dr. Bryan Sykes at Oxford University "will confirm the existence of the
Yeti and reject the existence of Bigfoot." In fact, the report, published
soon afterward, states that two of the 30 samples tested most closely resemble
the genome of a paleolithic polar bear, while the other 28 come from known,
living mammals.
