2005: A hiker in Simpson County, Mississippi, reports
hearing whistling sounds and wood-knocks, plus other noises, claiming that some
unseen creature followed him to his parked pickyp truck and then broke off
contact. His report to the GCBRO, filed on "November 31, 2005" [sic],
concludes: "There needs to be a
serious investigation of a large primate living among the fields and forests
bordering this area. There might be several but one for sure."
