BIPEDAL DOGS
As a codicil to articles on sightings of bipedal dogs, it is possible that some ordinary dog at some stage developed bipedalism. One of the oldest breeds of dog, the basenji, has a habit of standing on its hind legs. Surely this could develop into at least partial bipedalism?

Besides being an early breed, basenjis seem to be primitive as far as domestication goes. They are not noted for their obedience and they do not bark. They are employed in Kenya for hunting, but as a breed they originated in the Congo basin. Their ancestors came from South-East Asia and they are related to dingos.
