1963: As another month slides into history, pilots Alden Hoover
and Lennart Strand sight a 10-foot-tall creature near Confidence, California, a
town of 50 people in Tuolumne County. They describe the thing as 10 feet tall,
cinnamon brown, and "half bear, half gorilla." Their photographs turn
out blurry and useless.
