The fact that there were no other tracks but only a single one found implies that it was unlikely made by a black bear (the dimensions and the appearance of it do not add up to a bear). Below are some pictures of the cast (including the original track prior to taking the cast), also additional media coverage. Close examination of the plaster has revealed "dermal ridges / pores" which bears do not have on the soles of their feet (only humans/primate)..
