CREATURE IN INDIANAPOLIS

Indianapolis
It isn't that often you see cryptids in the midst of a city.  They prefer relatively unfrequented areas, not like Indianapolis, which you can see pictured above.  However, this city has not been entirely bereft of cryptids.  About 1980 a strange creature was reported there.  Its body was compared with that of a baboon.  Its head was orange and looked like a dog's.  The witness suspected it was a genetic experiment.

Before we travel down that path, however, we might consider that it was actually merely an escaped baboon.  Baboons are noted for their dog-like heads.  In fact, the Latin for a baboon is cynocephalus which comes from the Greek for 'dog's head'.  The witness may not have had a very clear idea of what baboons were supposed to look like.
