WATCH YOUR EARS, PORKY

From time to time a cryptid turns up that cannot be identified.  Indeed, it need not be a cryptid at all: it could simply be an animal with which the witness is unfamiliar.  Such a one is the Pig-Ear-Eater of Bay Springs (Mississippi).

This creature was black and gray with a shaggy tail.  It was nearly as tall as a human's waist, a variable kind of estimate.  It would attack pigs, but eat only their ears.  It seems to have carried out its depredations in 1977.  What it was remains a mystery.
