A specimen of a strange catfish (Kryptoglasius shajii) has been found in India. Its strange, bony face has defied classification by zoologists. They have known of this creature's existence, but it was not until 2011 that they realized it was a new species. It has oddly shaped bones not found in any other known fish. Its jaw has a bulldog shape and is endowed with four rows of teeth.
Despite this rather ferocious-sounding description, the fish is only tiny. Because it dwells in subterranean waters, very little has been discovered about it. With regard to its place in the fishy kingdom, scientists are still scratching puzzled heads. (Their own, not those of surprised passers-by).
