IF YOU GO DOWN TO THE SEA TODAY

I see from an article in Practical Fishkeeping (practicalfishkeeping.co.uk) that a strange item has been seen and photographed at a depth of 5000'.  What it is seems to be uncertain.  It's not even certain if it's alive.  It may be a known type of fish, it may be merely placenta.  The possibility exists that it may be a new species.  Expert opinion is uncertain.
