RATCLIFFE CHUPACABRA

Ratcliffe Chupacabra

The Ratcliffe chupacabra, recently captured in Texas, looks like one of those blue dogs to which the name chupacabra is misapplied.  The original chupacabra was a smallish spiny creature reported from Puerto Rico.  Jonathan Downes opined it resulted from sightings of two known animals, the mongoose and the porcupine.  Whatever it was, it wasn't the same as these Blue Dogs, whatever they are.
