At patagonianmonsters.blogspot.co.uk, to which it does not seem possible to link directly from this site, there is an article on the Caaigua, a nation chronicled by early Jesuits, who  Austin Whittall suspects may be Neanderthals (the Caaigua, that is, not the Jesuits).
