PENELOPE IS NO TURKEY

I believe that, if you look in name books, you may find the name Penelope given as meaning turkey.  It doesn't.  After all, in Greek legend, Penelope was the wife of Odysseus/Ulysses long before America with its turkeys was discovered.

What does it mean then?

Well, while the meaning is not certain, it may signify 'duck'.
'Quack!'
