I would like to draw the attention of readers interested in religious forteana to an important work reissued in 2013 on this subject.

It is The Physical Phenomena of Mysticism  by Herbert Thurston, SJ.  (White Crow, 384pp., $16.40 Paperbound; also available on Kindle at $10.62)

Herbert Thurston (1856-1939) was a thoroughgoing scholar who studied anomalous phenomena and analysed it.  This particular work covers such subjects as Stigmata, Levitation, Telekinesis and the Multiplication of Food.  He is analytical in his approach.

He was also a notable student of History and Liturgy.
