HORNED MEN

Horned men (hommes cornus) are creatures in the folklore of Gascony, horned, hairy and displaying some goatlike features.  They are reputed to abduct girls in order to procreate.  Whether they descend from the fauns of Roman belief or are creatures independent of them is a matter of speculation.
